You might think it’s a little bit weird that the first post on my health and fitness blog is about eating doughnuts.
But hear me out…
I am a little doughnut crazy at the moment, and if you follow me on snapchat I am sure you would have seen (it’s amandarose_bb in case you want to check it out)
I’m all about having a healthy balanced lifestyle, one that is easy for you to maintain for the long term…
Not just some restriction diet that gets you to your goal, but then when you resume “normal” eating you go right back to where you were (or even worse, put on even more body fat 😟 ). That’s a recipe for disaster, so just don’t do it… trust me.
And if you like doughnuts, you are inevitably going to be faced with opportunities to eat said doughnuts…
But there are literally only so many times you can say NO
Before you will give in and say yes…
It’s just human nature
So, instead of trying to fight against it – why not make it work for you?
Your body doesn’t know the type of food you have eaten, it breaks everything down into macronutrients and micronutrients. It utilises what it needs and either excretes or stores any left overs.
So it doesn’t matter whether you eat a doughnut, a burger or a salad you body will utilise what it needs and get rid of, or store the rest.
NOW this doesn’t give you a free reign to eat all the burgers, cookies and doughnuts you like.
If you try do that and eat in a calorie deficit there is no doubt in my mind that you will be causing yourself deficiencies in other areas that eventually will catch up with you.
I am not a huge fan of IIFYM for this reason…
But if you do have a doughnut, so what?!??!?
As long as it isn’t a daily thing.
You haven’t stuffed anything up, or fallen off the wagon.
You don’t have to wait until next Monday to start fresh again.
You are LIVING!
So if you do eat something a little bit naughty and are starting to stress or feel guilty, take a deep breath in and a long breath out and just say fuck it.
And then go right back to eating your regular healthy meals.
And if you want to put those extra carbs and sugars to good work, do a nice big booty session 🍑
Cause while you can’t out train a bad diet… there are some little tricks that you can use 🙊
